TOUR OF THE HOLY LAND

Jerusalem, Israel - 2016

WRITTEN BY: GEORGE LUJACK

November 27 – December 06, 2016 – Israel

ZECHARIAH 2:10-12 (NKJV):
“Many nations shall be joined to YHWH (the Lord) in that day, and they shall become My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that YHWH (the Lord) of hosts has sent Me to you. And YHWH (the Lord) will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land, and will again choose Jerusalem.”

For persons of faith in Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ), there is no travel destination on Earth which is comparable to visiting the Holy Land, Israel.

Viewing and standing at the historical sites of Scripture is an exhilarating, faith-confirming experience that is difficult to describe in words alone.

Shore of Sea of Galilee

Shore of Sea of Galilee

Standing at the shore of the Sea of Galilee, where Yeshua (Jesus) spoke to Simon Peter and Andrew – to have them become fishers of men (Matthew 4:19; Mark 1:17).

Sea of Galilee

Sea of Galilee

While aboard a chartered boat on the Sea of Galilee, a brief rainstorm occurred, followed by a rainbow, which seemed reminiscent of Yeshua (Jesus) calming the winds and the sea (Matthew 8:26-27; Mark 4:39-41).

Yardenit, the Baptismal Site on the Jordan River

Yardenit, the Baptismal Site on the Jordan River

Yardenit, the Baptismal site on the Jordan River, where John the Baptist baptized Yeshua (Jesus) and where baptisms continue to this day (Matthew 3).

Garden of Gethsemane

Garden of Gethsemane

The Garden of Gethsemane, where Yeshua (Jesus) last prayed before He was arrested (Matthew 26:36-57). The very trees where Yeshua (Jesus) prayed still grow to this day.

Golgatha, the Place of a Skull

Golgatha, the Place of a Skull

JOHN 19:17-18 (NKJV)
:
And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Yeshua (Jesus) in the center.

Inside the tomb of Yeshua (Jesus)

Inside the tomb of Yeshua (Jesus)

Standing inside the tomb of Yeshua (Jesus), where He was laid to rest.

MATTHEW 28:6, MARK 16:6 (NKJV):
“Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”

The Empty Tomb

The Empty Tomb

MATTHEW 28:6, MARK 16:6, LUKE 24:6 (NKJV)
:

He is risen! He is not here.

Such a blessing your photo story was! Just as the trees in the Garden of Gethsemane, where He agonized, have remained alive, His believers too may live!
