Recently, Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump called for a complete ban on Muslim immigration, prohibiting possible ISIS jihadists from entering the United States.
When I heard this idea, I immediately remembered this same solution presented by Christian-conservative radio talk show host and columnist Bryan Fischer.
Back on November 16, 2015, Fisher wrote an article titled, “Is It Time to Suspend Islamic Immigration?”
“Until all Muslim immigrants, not just refugees, can be properly screened, the process should be suspended entirely,” Fischer stated. “The risk of importing committed jihadis, like the ones who helped light up Paris, is simply too great. ”
The following month, Trump expresses the same opinion.
“Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life,” Trump stated according to the Atlantic.
For several months, on his radio show and in columns, Fischer has called for Muslim immigration to be suspended until a secure process is implemented. It causes one to wonder if Mr. Trump is a listener of Focal Point.
