According to a report from CNN, a military official told reporter Barbra Starr that the United States Armed Forces is creating a “quick strike team” that can treat Ebola patients in the United States.
The force will be made up of 30 trained specialists equipped to give direct treatment to Ebola patients inside the United States, a Defense Department official told Starr.
A spokesman for the Pentagon also confirmed pieces of the official’s statement.
The “quick strike team” will be under direct orders to deploy within 72 hours at any given time through the next month, the official stated.
Allegedly, The Department of Health and Human Services requested the team, and the Pentagon has verbally approved.
