Short-Lived Rejoicing?

Angry chanting could be heard today, as the self-identifed “Pro-Choice Generation” expressed its disappointment on the steps of the Supreme Court.

The long-awaited SCOTUS ruling came down this morning, favoring Hobby Lobby’s claim of exemption from the Obamacare mandate, that all employers provide abortion inducing drugs to their employees.

Though this ruling is great news for those who love God and respect the life that He gives to unborn babies at conception, the rejoicing may be short-lived, as Progressive, Liberal, Democrat, life-haters will never stop their attacks against the unborn or God’s Word!

This November the Senate may fall to the Republican majority. Then, even with the POTUS’ pen and phone, there may be much change, and perhaps good reason for this nation to have hope again.

If our Creator grants us another chance, we must do a much better job of guarding His gifts. Most recently we allowed prayer to be removed from our public schools, abortion to be legalized, homosexuality to silence our convictions, greed to empty our homes, and covetousness to rule our hearts. If we want to see more victories like the one today, we Christians must clean our own hearts and homes. If we don’t do that, this rejoicing may be very short-lived.

“When doubts filled my mind, Your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.” (Psalm 94:19/NLT)

The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christ-followers to see God’s Big Picture and be a part of it.
